Detroit Red Wings captain @Dylan Larkin has elected to change his representation ahead of what could be a critical summer for determining his future with the organization. Larkin, 25, is entering the final season of the five-year, $30.5 million contract he signed with the Red Wings in 2018. Longtime National Hockey League forward Frans Nielsen announced his retirement on Tuesday after Team Denmark played its last game at the 2022 IIHF World Championship. Nielsen, 38, played his first 10 NHL seasons with the New York Islanders before spending his final five with the Detroit Red Wings. He initially indicated his intention to retire after the 2022 Worlds earlier this month. In 925 career regular-season NHL games, Nielsen scored 167 goals and 473 points. In the first and second rounds of the 2022 Western Hockey League playoffs, Sebastian Cossa and the Edmonton Oil Kings were defeating their opponents by completely smothering their offensive output.
