Photo by Rich Graessle/Getty Images Here’s your ultimate (early) preview of what to expect come playoff time. Yes, it’s December. Yes, this is probably too early. Sue me. We are 20 games deep into the 2023-24 NBA season, and it’s been quite the wild ride. Phoenix’s 12-8 record currently has them tied for the 4th seed in the Western Conference. The playoffs are a long way away, but with the In-Season Tournament tipping off, what better time to dive into what the final rotation could look like? This piece won’t necessarily be a playoff outlook, but rather about the rotation as it is now and the ..read more

WELCOME to your news roundup of the week that was and the week yet to come for your Phoenix Suns. The Suns enter the second quarter of their season with a winning record and that’s great considering the plethora of injuries to the Big Three. Most of the season so far, the Suns have been relegated to one mega star going to work with a bucket of leggos. More on that to come. Last Week, the Suns lost to the Raptors and Nuggets before beatin ..read more

Photo by Zac BonDurant/Getty Images It’s a scary place, where confidence wanes and three-pointers are missed. Life is tough for a role player in the NBA. You hit your pregame warm-ups, work up a sweat, and then proceed to sit on the bench and wait. And when your name is called? The expectation is pristine production. The reality is that you will most likely not meet that expectation. The Phoenix Suns, who are 12-8 after 20 games this season, is a roster built on role players. Their top-end talent is costly, which means a platoon of veteran minimum contracts make up the majority of their team ..read more

Photo by Zac BonDurant/Getty Images Uneven early returns saw the Suns break this one open, ultimately compiling a run the Grizzlies could never fully come back from. The Phoenix Suns garnered a much-needed win, on the second night of a home back-to-back, over the Memphis Grizzlies to stop a two-game skid. That followed their seven-game win streak. They seem to always love making things more interesting than they need to in closing moments — displaying a flair for the dramatic — that needs to be addressed, nonetheless, they were able to close the door. Let’s dive into some of what caught my att ..read more

Photo by Zac BonDurant/Getty Images The Grizzlies attacked early but the Suns pulled away in the third quarter and never looked back. He was a game-time decision, but Devin Booker was cleared to play and his presence was paramount to the Phoenix Suns defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 116-109 on Saturday night. The win snaps a two-game losing streak for Phoenix, as well as snapping a two-game winning streak for the Grizz. Devin Booker ended the game with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. Without his help, this might have been a loss for the Suns, who needed every ounce of energy as the unrel ..read more

A tip of the hat to Jusuf Nurkic for his performance against Nikola Jokic

Photo by Chris Coduto/Getty Images No one holds the two-time MVP in check, but Nurk’s willingness to stand up to him earned our respect The Phoenix Suns may have lost to the Denver Nuggets last night, but respect was earned. No, probably not from the Nuggets’ faithful. Phoenix had 14 more free throws than Denver and therefore the game was improperly officiated and their two-time MVP Nikola Jokic was most likely “mugged” and “assaulted”. Hey, Denver: it’s hard to get to the line when you are making countless uncontested layups all night long. Yeah, the Suns’ defense had its issues. Their attent ..read more
