Farmington, UT – Corporal Timothy Robinson, a K9 handler with the Davis County Sheriff’s Office, was charged today by the Davis County Attorney’s Office with a class A misdemeanor in relation to an incident that occurred in August 2023. Corporal Robinson is accused of striking or assaulting his police service animal, K9 Rolf, during a routine training exercise with other law enforcement officers present. Antelope Island State Park, UT – A man is in stable condition after being shot on the causeway of Antelope Island State Park this afternoon. A juvenile suspect was apprehended at the scene and taken into custody.  At 1:36 p.m., a road rage incident was called into dispatch. Deputies responded at 1:42 p.m., six minutes later, and discovered a male in his 50s with a gunshot wound. South Weber, Utah – On Monday, July 3, 2023, Corporal Steven Lewis and Deputy Jennifer Turner, deputies of the Davis County Sheriff’s Office, were killed when the motorcycle they were on collided with a pickup truck in South Weber. Corporal Lewis served the Davis County Sheriff’s Office faithfully for 5.5 years. Deputy Jennifer Turner joined our office in 2020. Farmington, UT – On Friday, April 21, 2023, deputies found an inmate hanging in his cell during security rounds. Deputies and medical staff immediately implemented life-saving measures and were successful in restoring the individual’s pulse. The inmate was transported to a nearby hospital; however, the inmate passed away several days later. The inmate was in his 30’s.
