Oklahoma City has an important offseason ahead of it, including tough decisions about the players already on the roster.
The Thunder have an abundance of choices to make over the next few months, beginning with the NBA Draft on June 26. A few days later, free agency and the new league year will begin. In between the draft and free agency, teams will have to make some of the most important decisions of the offseason by deciding whether to pick up team options.

After securing the No. 1 seed in a loaded Western Conference and winning a playoff series with ease, Oklahoma City’s rebuild is far ahead of schedule. The Thunder have legitimate cornerstones and a supporting cast that is fit to come through.
The second round shooting slump cost the Thunder a chance at advancing further — and potentially to the Finals — but that’s not a reason to panic. Oklahoma City is still a young team equipped to contend for years to come even if the core stays the exact same.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have begun planning for the 2024 NBA Draft and with prep underway comes predraft workouts. The OKC Thunder will at least have a touch-point with the vast majority of prospects in each draft class. However, the Thunder notoriously keep their cards close to the vest, unlike other organizations.

The Oklahoma City Thunder capped off a brilliant 2023-24 campaign with a 57-25 record that saw the Bricktown boys win their first playoff series since 2016. Despite falling in six games to the eventual Western Conference Champion Dallas Mavericks in the second round, the Thunder season could be described as nothing short of a success.

In mock drafts during the 2024 NBA Draft cycle, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been projected to make a wide variety of selections. Different names have been linked to the team, with the most popular being Colorado's Cody Williams, younger brother of Thunder star Jalen Williams.

Coming off a season featuring an unexpected amount of success, there’s not too much Oklahoma City needs to address on paper. The Thunder were lucky in the injury department, and depth could always help in case that same luck ran dry this upcoming season.
Of course, the offseason conversation has centered around the Thunder adding front court depth by way of a backup center or a starting forward. Oklahoma City could use the rebounding help, but it’s not as big of an issue as most would suggest. There’s other needs that the team could solve, too.
