Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has extended the online application deadline for recruitment to the post of Patwari/ Lekhpal 2022. Eligible and interested candidates can now apply for the vacancies on the official website psc.uk.gov.in till November 10. The previous deadline was November 4. The UKPSC recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 563 vacancies, of which 391 vacancies are for the post of Patwari and 172 for the post of Lekhpal. The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has deferred the online registration deadline for the December Term End Examination (TEE) 2022. Eligible candidates can apply for the examination till November 10, 2022, without late fee. The applicants will have to pay the fee of Rs 200 per course (Theory courses and practical/lab courses). A Lucknow sessions court on Monday denied bail to journalist Siddique Kappan in a money laundering case lodged by the Enforcement Directorate, Bar and Bench reported. On October 12, District Judge Sanjay Shankar Pandey had concluded the hearing in the matter and reserved his judgement. The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear a petition challenging a provision in the election law that bars persons facing trial while in custody from casting their votes, Bar and Bench reported.
