Glasner lifts lid on multiple major Palace blows for West Ham clash

David Moyes and Oliver Glasner meet again when West Ham head to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday. West Ham’s Scottish manager famously locked horns with new Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner in the Europa League two years ago. Glasner was managing Eintracht Frankfurt as they took on the Hammers in the semi-finals. They were feisty clashes with a red card in the away leg taking the tie away from West Ham. David Moyes was sent off too in that game and served a European ban. Now he will renew rivalries with Glasner at Selhurst Park, rather ironically days after being knocked out of ..read more

Another big Jarrod Bowen twist emerges
Hammers News

West Ham United boss David Moyes would have been over the moon to have Jarrod Bowen back and available for selection last night. David Moyes started Jarrod Bowen for West Ham against Bayer Leverkusen at the London Stadium, after he had been absent from action for 12 days with a hip problem. After he left the pitch against Wolves two weeks ago, the injury he suffered initially didn’t seem to be a serious one. However, the 27-year-old was then forced to miss our next two games against Bayer Leverkusen and Fulham respectively. Photo by Vincent Mignott/DeFodi Images via Getty Images Having him ba ..read more

Official Bayer Leverkusen account has dig at West Ham fans mocking them
Hammers News

It seems Bayer Leverkusen are happy to dish it out but don’t like it when West Ham give some back following their Europa League tie. West Ham fans generated the best atmosphere seen at the London Stadium since Sevilla for the Europa League quarter-final second leg with Bayer Leverkusen. There’s even an argument to say it was best atmosphere inside that stadium since Super Saturday during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Hammers fans are often at their very best in times of adversity, when the odds are stacked against them. That what certainly the case when Xabi Alonso’s invincibles came to town ..read more

Three surprise West Ham heroes who stunned me against Bayer Leverkusen
Hammers News

The West Ham United players made a really good fist of the Europa League second-leg clash with Bayer Leverkusen last night. West Ham gave the Bayer Leverkusen players one hell of a game at the London Stadium, and on another night we would have progressed through to the semi-finals of the Europa League. David Moyes set his team up to go for the jugular, and we suffocated the Bundesliga champions from the very first whistle. How different things could have been, had he taken that approach out in Germany last week! Amazingly, when Leverkusen equalised, the stadium erupted into a chorus of applaus ..read more

Moyes fails to acknowledge West Ham fans but praises Palace supporters
Hammers News

It seems there may be truth to recent claims David Moyes is angry with West Ham fans but Crystal Palace’s have clearly impressed him. West Ham fans are often labelled too demanding, unrealistic, fickle and even deluded. The fact is most of us are very simple creatures who want to see their team play an aggressive style of football on the front foot, regardless of the opposition. For all the good David Moyes has done at West Ham, all too often over the last two seasons the opposite has been true. Crystal Palace seem to have carved out a reputation as having one of the best home crowds in the Pr ..read more

What Xabi Alonso has said about West Ham will leave fans raging
Hammers News

Our history was desecrated by certain ex coaches but we saw the real West Ham way as David Moyes’ side ran Xabi Alonso’s invincibles close. Stuart Pearce and Sam Allardyce gleefully dismissed “the West Ham way” on a podcast this week. There is a myth that it’s about tika-taka football and competing with the elite. But that only demonstrates a lack of knowledge about the club ethos which was cemented into West Ham’s history by the likes of Ron Greenwood and John Lyall. In reality the West Ham way is exactly what David Moyes’ side produced against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League last night ..read more

Report: West Ham could sign 27-year-old 2021 FA Cup winner for absolutely nothing this summer
Hammers News

West Ham United are apparently lining up a move to sign a midfielder for free in the summer transfer window. The upcoming summer transfer window will be a vitally important one for West Ham. A big squad overhaul is needed, with some potentially painful exits in the pipeline. Regardless of whether David Moyes stays or leaves, we need at least five or six new players this summer, with new additions needed in pretty much every department of the squad. Central midfield is one area that definitely needs strengthening. Edson Alvarez has been terrific for us this season, but we’re in desperate need o ..read more

Photo: Player who left West Ham last summer amongst London Stadium crowd for Leverkusen clash

A player who exited West Ham United nine months ago was in attendance at the London Stadium for our Europa League clash with Bayer Leverkusen last night. The West Ham vs Leverkusen Europa League clash was an enthralling one to watch for the Hammers fans. David Moyes set up his team on the front foot, and we caused Xabi Alonso’s side all sorts of problems inside the first-half. That performance last night was literally all we ask for as a fanbase – it’s just such a shame that Moyes himself, pundits and fans of other clubs don’t seem to grasp that fact. Paqueta's one word post after West Ham bow out of Europe without him
Hammers News
by Damien Charles Lucas

Lucas Paqueta has sent a one word social media post after West Ham bowed out of Europe without him last night. West Ham are out of the Europa League after a 3-1 aggregate defeat to German invincibles Bayer Leverkusen. The Hammers put in a brilliant performance – arguably one of their best of the season – as they pushed the Bundesliga champions all the way. That’s despite missing key players Lucas Paqueta, Emerson Palmieri and Konstantinos Mavropanos. Michail Antonio gave West Ham a deserved first half lead to claw it back to 2-1 on aggregate. David Moyes’ side missed a host of chances to level ..read more

Something West Ham fans did in 89th minute vs Leverkusen proves just how easy Moyes has it
Hammers News

West Ham United were unlucky not to beat Bayer Leverkusen by a few goals last night, after David Moyes set us his team to really go after the visitors. The Leverkusen players squirmed every time West Ham pressed them high up the pitch, and were clearly uncomfortable with the way that David Moyes‘ side were putting them under pressure. The Europa League quarter-final clash between the Hammers and Leverkusen really was a game of two legs. Every single person involved with West Ham was right behind us last night, aside from Lucas Paqueta who was notable by his absence. It was a high tempo perform ..read more
