I have both a Kenwood DDX9907XR and DMX907S. I need help with something in which Kenwood Technical Support said "They don't know." I use both units with Android Auto. What I would like to do is to display the Navigation Map from the Android Auto app, while simultaneously displaying a source information that is NOT part of the Android Auto (ie. USB, HD Radio, Sirius Radio, etc). The screen widget allows multiple customization options allowing a split screen with Navigation and the music... Read more ..read more

Double Tweeter Bracket
Car Audio Forums

Alright so recently I installed (2) 3.5" neo midrange woofers into my dash, problem is, I somehow managed to install them so they are not centered with each other (Two images below). Stupid, I know. Now at the same time, I have to find a spot for (2) 25mm silk-dome tweeters. So I was wondering if it's possible to fix the mistake and find a spot for the tweeters on the dash using a bracket. A bracket that would fit both the 3.5" speaker and the 25mm tweeter. Then I would be able to move one... Read more ..read more

First time poster here. For the past 6 years, this amp and the subwoofer were working fine until yesterday. The Kenwood KAC-X201T is now just blinking blue. Here is what I have tested so far: 1) The positive wire from the battery and ground wire measure above 14v 2) Multi-meter lead connected to positive from battery and ground to chassis is above 14v 3) Once the positive from the battery and ground wire are connected to the AMP, something weird happens. Car is turned on, if I touch the... Read more ..read more

Amp Shorting out Infotainment Screen?
Car Audio Forums
by Chris Morton

I took my 2017 RDX into the dealership because the infotainment screen quit working, thinking this would be covered under my extended warranty. They’re trying to tell me the amp I installed almost 2 years ago is the culprit. They’re saying it caused a ‘surge’ and blew out the screen. All other audio components are working. Radio, cd player, everything. I don’t see how this could possibly happen because the amp isn’t actually connected to the head unit at all. All I have is the power... Read more ..read more

Hello, I have a Peugeot 207 SE 2007 and would like to upgrade its existing car stereo. It’s a single cd fm/am radio and I would like to get something that has dab+ and the ability to play music and podcasts from my Apple iPhone (I believe this is called CarPlay.) Do you know which single unit I need to be able to do this. I have photos of my existing stereo and its connectors, but do not know how to identify what they are. I’m assuming I will need some sort of adaptor kit. I would like the... Read more ..read more

Sub gets "stuck" on bass notes
Car Audio Forums

Just installed my first sub into my car and I'm having a weird issue that I can't find any mention of anywhere else. Intermittently my sub gets "stuck" on a bass note and plays it at full volume even if I turn the volume down or to mute. The only way I can stop it is if I pull the fuse out of the amp. I've tried regrounding it to a new location, tightened all the terminals, etc. No luck. Very new to amps and subs so maybe there's something I'm missing. For note: Head unit: pioneer... Hi, I was just given a Pyramid x702-L 300 wat amp/eq. It is old school, and there is no manual or wiring diagram that came with it. Besides the red+ and black- there are 9 other wires. white, yellow, orange, purple, (these go into fader) brown, green, blue, gray, black, (go to 18 pin block which also has power switch) Apparently it does not follow standard wire code, Does anyone have any idea how to wire this ..read more
