Tonight the San Francisco 49ers are 3.5-point road favorites against the Seattle Seahawks. Geno Smith has been one of the best stories in the NFL this year. He has played really well for the Seahawks this season, but it won’t be enough tonight.
The 49ers aren’t back to full strength yet with Christian McCaffery still on the shelf, but most of their weapons are back at this point. They will win tonight by at least a touchdown. Give me 49ers 31 Seahawks 23. That would also mean I like the over 49.5 total here as well.
We have seen a lot of good offensive matchups on ..read more

Just the standard confidence poll this week.
Last week 51% of you said that Will Levis should be the starting quarterback over Mason Rudolph. With the week off, I figured we would just go with the standard confidence poll this week. Brian Callahan and his staff spent the week doing a lot of “self-scouting” to see where they could address deficiencies through the first month of the season.
An early bye is usually not the best thing, but it might have been good for this group to be able to go ahead and address some of the issues that have plagued them through 4 weeks ..read more

Another metric that proves Tennessee Titans rookie OT JC Latham has been outstanding
Tennessee Titans rookie offensive tackle has been outstanding over the previous three games. Latham endured a rough debut in Week 1, with Pro Football Focus crediting him with allowing five total pressures and one sack. Since then, the former Alabama standout had allowed just four total pressures and zero sacks.
Latham’s nine pressures allowed ranks third-best among Tennessee’s starting five. Surprisingly, Dillon Radunz (8) and Lloyd Cushenberry (7) have ..read more

Should be another good primetime game.
Week five wraps up tonight with the New Orleans Saints taking on the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have been pretty boring on offense this year, but they always find a way to win. I guess that’s what happens when you have Patrick Mahomes as your quarterback.
Tonight the Chiefs are 5.5-point favorites at FanDuel Sportsbook. The Chiefs will cover that number. The total sits at 42.5. I’ll take the under there. Like I said, Kansas City hasn’t been lighting the world on fire and their defense is pretty good. While I like a lot of the ..read more

Titans veteran DL Sebastian Joseph-Day has been outstanding
The Tennessee Titans signed veteran defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day to a one-year contract worth $4 million in free agency, according to Over The Cap. The signing was met with very little fanfare. Fast forward through Week 5, and Joseph-Day has been an outstanding find for the Titans.
Football Insights released a chart that pairs pass-rush-win-rate (PRWR) with run stop percentage for interior defensive linemen. It’s a metric that helps measure the balanced skill-set of interior defenders. Jos ..read more

Week 5’s Sunday ends with the Dallas Cowboys heading to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. The Steelers are a 2.5-point home underdog at FanDuel Sportsbook. I like the Steelers to win this one outright. Mike Tomlin just finds a way to win games with the Steelers while Mike McCarthy, well, doesn’t.
The total is at 43.5 as of 7:20 Sunday morning. I’ll take the under. Playing good defense has been the calling card of the Pittsburgh Steelers for pretty much the whole time they have been in existence. They will find a way to make Dak Prescott uncomfortable for most of ..read more

Titans fans seem ready for a change
We got to see our first glimpse of Mason Rudolph at quarterback on Monday night for the Tennessee Titans. He did not light the world on fire, but he did keep the offense on schedule and took care of the football. Had Will Levis done that in every game the Titans might be 3-1 instead of 1-3.
Brian Callahan has said that Will Levis is the quarterback when healthy. I asked you this week who you thought the quarterback should be:
Levis did get 51% of the vote. The correct answer here is Levis. The Titans have to find out if he can pla ..read more

Should be a good one tonight
The Atlanta Falcons are a 2.5-point favorite at home tonight against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This should be a fun game to watch. The total sits at 43.5. The NFC South is one of the more interesting divisions in football with the Bucs at 3-1 and both the Falcons and New Orleans Saints at 2-2.
Baker Mayfield is one of the most interesting stories in the NFL. He was OK with the Cleveland Browns but has been really good in his time with Tampa Bay. He is one of the handful of quarterbacks seeing a resurgence in their second stop in ..read more

Checking in on the odds for the other AFC South teams
Your Tennessee Titans have their bye week in week 5. That gives us a chance to check in on what is going on around the AFC South. The Houston Texans are a 1.5-point home underdog against the Buffalo Bills. That is one of the better games of the weekend. The Texans have the chance to give themselves an edge in a future tie-breaker between what could be the two best teams in the AFC this season.
Elsewhere, the 0-4 Jacksonville Jaguars, the only remaining winless team in the NFL, are 2.5-point home favorites ag ..read more

Sounds like Will Levis should be ready after the bye.
Paul Kuharsky is reporting that Tennessee Titans quarterback has an AC sprain in his right shoulder. PK also said it would be a long-shot for Levis to play if the Titans had a game this week, but that he should be ready to go after the bye. Brian Callahan said that Will Levis is the quarterback when he is healthy. That means it will most likely be Levis under center when the Titans take on the Indianapolis Colts in week 6.
When the schedule first came out, I didn’t love the week 5 bye. They will have to p ..read more
