Imagine if this team DIDN’T give up soft goals...
Atlanta United overcame a two-goal deficit, but only managed a point from its 3-3 draw to New England Revolution.
A couple of soft goals in the first half were canceled by three really good goals in the second half. Just when it seemed that the Five Stripes would get the win, they conceded yet another late goal. The tie gives Atlanta United 24 points in 16 games with a 6-6-4 record.
With Luiz Araújo and Franco Ibarra back from their suspensions, both were slotted into the starting lineup to face the Revolution. Othe ..read more

Final Whistle Quick Thoughts
This match was a roller coaster of emotions. From the despair of the worst imaginable opening minute to going down 2-0 at home all the way to backup striker Miguel Berry scoring an absolute stunning goal to clinch the incredible comeback all the way to Carles Gil’s shocking last-second equalizer.
It’s clear that there are issues all around, as the first half proves. But you have to give the team tons of credit for not giving up and fighting back. Then when it all looked like things ..read more

Five Stripes look to crush the Revolution on home turf
The Five Stripes are back in the Benz tonight after two weeks of travel resulting in two total points earned against Chicago and Orlando. Now, Atlanta takes on third place New England with a shorter injury report and an eye on moving up the table with a big three points up for grabs.

It was a win to us, dammit.
Ultimately, it was a successful night
The way Saturday’s game in Orlando went down, there are many areas one can critique, be it tactical or player-to-player. But one thing that we must give the team credit for is a determination and willingness to suffer and persevere. In a number of past performances both this season and prior, we’ve seen the team capitulate in on-field circumstances they faced Saturday where they are clearly the second best team on the field. Perhaps a little bit of luck helped in preventing that situation from ..read more

The young Wolff-man made an impact once again, stealing the point back from Orlando in a rough away match.
Atlanta United took the trip to Walt Disney World Orlando Saturday and played the Lions to a 1-1 draw that felt like a win. A last-gasp but well-taken shot by Tyler Wolff kept his wonderful streak alive and gave the Five Stripes the energy they needed to quiet Orlando’s crowd.
The match certainly wasn’t anything to write home about; the first half was admittedly very tough to watch from an Atlanta perspective. There wasn’t a signifi ..read more

Final Whistle Quick Thoughts
Somehow a disjointed and sloppy performance netted Atlanta United a huge away point against their rivals. It never looked like the Five Stripes had a chance in this match until they snatched a shock equalizer late in the second half.
There were a few absences tonight, but realistically it never felt like Luiz Araujo or Caleb Wiley would’ve changed much.
It’s clear, and has been for some time, that significant changes need to be mad when the summer transfer window opens.

Orlando City, we meet again
Following... whatever the hell happened last weekend, Atlanta United is back on the road this evening, paying a visit to some old friends to the south. A chaotic 3-3 draw in Chicago leaves the Five Stripes without Luiz Araujo and Franco Ibarra, and some nagging injuries now put a lot of question marks in Atlanta’s midfield with Amar Sejdic out and Santiago Sosa listed as questionable.
Will Atlanta’s road woes continue against everyone’s favorite purple opponent? Or will the team adapt in a heated rivalry atmosphere and come away with a m ..read more

Rivalry time (for real this time)
Atlanta United’s struggles on the road will be put to the test again this weekend when the Five Stripes visit old friends Orlando City. Both teams have been stuck in third gear of late, but perhaps another edition of this Southern showdown is what one of them needs to kickstart its form.

Atlanta has to find that killer mentality to see out matches
As a neutral viewer, Atlanta United vs Chicago Fire on Saturday night provided about all the entertainment MLS after dark typically offers. Red cards handed out to arguably the wrong player, other red cards handed out for no reason, the hometown guy on the away team captaining and scoring, and chaos around the boxes to see both teams pull a 3-3 draw.
As an Atlanta fan, it feels like another wasted opportunity to snag three points on the road, especially considering Chicago played down a man for almost hal ..read more
