Wow, 2020. Hasn’t it been quite the year!
We’ve seen utter devastation and loss due to this Pandemic. Loss of lives and peoples’ livelihoods.
This year we’ve also seen how resilient our little people are. Our children (and parents and teachers… and basically everyone else on earth) have had their lives turned up-side-down.
Our children have experienced home learning, not being able to play in play grounds, not being able to attend weekend sport or their favourite dance class or music lesson.
And so much more!
We’ve missed out on family reunions, weddings, funerals, birthday parties ..read more

We recently celebrated our boy's 8th Birthday!
We gathered a few friends and popped up to Toombul, just outside of Brisbane, to check out the renowned Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, and boy were we impressed!
From the moment we arrived, the kids were super excited! The décor, the games, the lollies, the suspense! And that was just at the front area, before we'd even entered the arcade area (and cocktail bar for the adults).
Located at Toombul Shopping Centre, Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq is your one-stop entertainment destination.
With bowling lanes, arcade and tick ..read more

Our beautiful Gold Coast is such a great location!
From the stunning beaches to the scenic hinterland, everywhere you look is amazing.
It seems like no matter where your home is situated on our beautiful stretch of coast, there is an epic view waiting to be enjoyed through your window… that is, unless it is covered in dust, poop or salt-water.
Yes, dirty windows are a bit of a joy-kill when it comes to enjoying our homes, entertaining area or the view.
But let’s face it, for most Gold Coast mums and dads, window cleaning isn’t necessarily at the top of the list of favourite things to ..read more

School’s almost out and, like many around the country right now, Christmas parties/concerts and kindy graduations are taking place.
And, after four years at a Goodstart Early Learning Centre, my twin daughters will soon say farewell as they head off to big school. (I can’t believe it! Five years has flown by way too fast!).
My twincesses having fun and practising their ball skills at Goodstart.
We’ve been a part of the Goodstart family for almost eight years now (after I meticulously toured, chatted with and compared various early learning centres in the ..read more

Travelling with kids can be either a dream or a nightmare depending on where in the world you are. You want to keep them entertained, show them a bit of the world and also hopefully get a little time for some personal R&R.
A holiday in Bali will provide ample opportunities to fulfill all of these wishes, in fact it is arguably one of the best places in the world to travel with children.
The distinct local culture is incredibly vibrant and almost certainly very different from anything they are likely to witness back home, and, perhaps most helpfully of all, the Balinese people, almo ..read more

The New York SMASH HIT production of Lewis Carroll’s timeless classic, Alice in Wonderland comes to life on stage at the Gold Coast Home of the Arts (HOTA) this Sunday 15 July.
Tumble down the rabbit hole and join Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, in her adventures through Wonderland.
With the cast being summoned from across the country and led by Queensland’s first lady of theatre in Karen Crone, as the Mad Hatter (in a casting twist similar to that of the Cheshire Cat’s smile), this stage production features incredible costumes and sets and is a must-see for children a ..read more
