Firstly, I am so excited that you’ve clicked on this blog post because this is one activity and topic that lights me up to talk about! GOAL setting, it gets me so inspired! So, what is a vision board? When I make my vision boards they are simply a visual representation of my goals, values, the things that inspire me and all that I aspire to be. When I made my first vision board I was newly sober and I wanted a way to put my goals on paper but also something I could see everyday. This would help keep me accountable and remind me of why I wanted to stay sober. That was 6 years ago now… I have ma ..read more

HOW I INCORPORATE MINIMALISM INTO MY HOME.

I became interested in minimalism when Alina was a toddler. I was just so sick and tired of the clutter of toys and the ‘things’ I’d accumulated over time taking up so much space in the home yet was hardly ever being used. There wasn’t much order or organisation in my life and it made me feel very overwhelmed on the daily. I had no idea how to get on top of it all but I knew I had to start somewhere. One day on a total whim I just decided to completely de clutter my life! I started room by room and was ruthless. I donated, sold and threw out so many items in our home which were stored away but ..read more

Since I shared my story behind the reason for me living a sober, alcohol free life in 2017 I have received hundreds of messages and emails from women reaching out, seeking support. The reason for this blog post is because I wanted to offer a resource to those who may not want to reach out. But also for those of you who’ve reached out in the past, or perhaps you are wanting to support a loved one, perhaps you want to cut down on your drinking before you form a negative behaviour. For whatever reason you’ve arrived here, I hope you gain something. I’ve been sober for 5 years, my decision to give ..read more

The kids had a beautiful day celebrating Alina’s Fourth and Neiko’s First birthday! I still can’t believe my babies were born on the same day!! When it came to a celebration this year I wanted to keep it simple and do something I know the kids would LOVE. Alina’s favourite park, the kids favourite people, a beautiful picnic and play set up and they were all smiles. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to the amazing vendors involved! As much as I wish I could be one of those women who love to bake, I’m not. Perhaps if what I did attempt to bake turned out well, then I’d love it. I do however love to create! When my sister in-law and I were discussing our annual Christmas baking day she mentioned cake pops. All the yes!! Then I remember I’d be the one making them and if I baked, they’d be ‘cake flops’ ha-ha! As you’d know, since Alina’s first birthday I’ve been DIY’ing cakes from coles and woolies and they turn out AH-MAZING!! Check out my cake hack here. Long story short, we applied my cake hack to our cake pops. You will ..read more
