It must be mid-June. Hotels are booked; B&Bs are booked and both hotels and B&Bs are unable to fill all requests for accommodations! When traveling to Alaska, make your room reservations and car rentals far in advance. We discovered that the same advice holds true for many restaurants in the Anchorage area. While this advice is good any time of year, mid-June (Solstice) seems to be the time of the greatest pinch.
