What are LED lashes and how do they work?
Lady Lash
by Charlotte Creasey

Shortly, we will be introducing the long-awaited LED Lashes to our salon in Newtown (with Parramatta and Gosford to soon follow). Only a few of our stylists will be offering this technique initially, so bookings for this service will be somewhat limited.  LED lashes involve a slightly altered application technique than traditional eyelash extensions. The biggest difference is the adhesive used, and the curing technique. Sometimes referred to as UV eyelash extensions, UV lashes or LED eyelash extensions, this is not so accurate, as it’s actually an LED light, which is quite different ..read more

Why aren’t my lashes lasting? Strange reasons that can affect eyelash extension retention
Lady Lash
by Charlotte Creasey

If you are a regular eyelash extension wearer, then you will know that retention or how long your lashes last is a very important factor. Ideally, we want to be getting a few weeks between infills – we want the lashes to gradually and evenly fall out over a few weeks, and then have them infilled with fresh when needed. We don’t want them coming off prematurely, but at the same time we don’t want them to be fused together with so much adhesive that they cannot come off (this is not good – they need to be able to come off as your natural lashes shed!)  However, if you have ever experience ..read more

Are all lash lifts or lash perms the same? No – slower ones are better!
Lady Lash

We often get asked these 2 questions about our lash lift and how they work. Firstly – “Why does it take so long? I’ve seen that some salons do it in 20-30 minutes?” (our lash lift + tint service takes one hour) Generally speaking, faster-acting lift solutions contain harsher, acidic ingredients which can easily result in frizzled, kinked lashes. Our lift system of choice, Elleeplex Profusion is slightly slower due to a new delivery system where stronger ingredients have been removed to ensure there is no over processing / burning of the lashes. The revolutionary system is gentle enough ..read more

Are eyelash extensions suitable for teenagers? How young is too young for lash and brow treatments? Lashes for formals, proms and special events.
Lady Lash

So perhaps you have a teen who’s suddenly taking a much bigger interest in their personal appearance – and has started asking for things like brow shaping and tinting, or even lash extensions for the first time. The formal, prom and end of year party season is of course in full swing – and this may be the first time that they will have a professional beauty treatment done. It can be a difficult choice to make – in that one never wants to leave their child with the impression that they are not enough/not beautiful just as they are – yet – small cosmetic enhancements for special events ca ..read more

What really happens in a cosmetic tattoo treatment?
Lady Lash
by Charlotte Creasey

What really happens in a cosmetic tattoo treatment? Do you get to choose and discuss the shape? Does it bleed a lot? And does it really hurt? We thought we’d show you, as well as tell you! Recently we filmed an entire live treatment with Noush, one of our master tattoo artists – from consultation, to drawing, to what happens during the treatment – as well directly afterwards. Obviously, we’ve condensed all of this into 4.5 minutes, but we’ve filmed every single part – and we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!   We’re often asked how long the treatment takes – and if it’s painful. The Top 3 reasons why you should clean your lashes
Lady Lash
by Charlotte Creasey
2y ago
We sure do bang on about aftercare a lot – so here’s more from us on our pet-topic  Firstly – and most importantly, for most people – is lash retention. Where lashes have been exposed to a lot of oil (whether from naturally occuring oils in the skin, or products that contain oil, such as micellar water, non-oil free makeup remover, waterproof makeup and other skin care) they generally won’t last very well. This is especially the case if oil is not cleaned off regularly using a foam cleanser, as eventually it will start to degrade the adhesive bond ..read more
