Away from Goodison Park, can the Blues upset Forest at the City Ground?
In the aftermath of what ended up as a disappointing result in Sunday evening’s 3-0 loss to Manchester United at Goodison Park, Everton must now deal with what promises to be an arduous December schedule. A run of eight matches across a 28-day period, kicking off tonight, represents a tough ask for what is a small squad.
The Blues have been fortunate thus far in avoiding significant injury woes this season, bu ..read more

How will Everton line up for this one?
Every game looks big for Everton now and a win over Nottingham Forest will ensure another team has to look over their shoulder. It might not feel like a six-pointer for them, but it will for us.
So with the Blues currently five points adrift from safety, how will Sean Dyche line up his side?
Who’s Out?
Few concerns for Everton this week.
Amadou Onana still hasn’t shaken off a calf problem and is unlikely to feature. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has also been experiencing some muscle tightness, so the Blues will understandably be ..read more

More protests are planned off the pitch, but the players urgently need results on it
Everton head to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest in a match they probably cannot afford to lose if they are to avoid being cut adrift in the bottom three.
It still feels remarkable to say that given the season Everton have had, but that unprecedented 10-point deduction has suddenly cranked up the pressure heading into one of the busiest periods of the season.
Evertonians are still seething at the scale of the punishment and the furious protest that lit up Sunday’s ..read more

Some winter cheer for Paul Tait and Leighton Baines
It’s been a while since both of Everton’s young teams have celebrated victories within the same week but that’s what happened this week for the Under 21s at Walton Hall Park and the Under 18s at Finch Farm, both games in Cup competitions.
On a cold Tuesday night in Walton, Paul Tait’s team took on the French side AS Monaco in the Premier League International Cup. They scored as early as the 2nd minute when a lon ..read more

Sean Dyche reacts to a possible further points deduction. [RBM]
_"The biggest thing for me is that it doesn’t change the facts of the matter. When I got here, we had to win more games. That was quite obvious and that doesn’t change – regardless of all the ups and downs and what goes on. I’ve clearly spoken to the players about that, and we’ve agreed. [Winning games] has to be the focus. It always was and it always will be."-

The Toffees boss has been speaking to the media ahead of Saturday’s trip to Nottingham Forest
Sean Dyche says everyone at Everton was “stunned” by their 10-point deduction but knows nothing of reports the Toffees could face another punishment before the end of the season.
A report in the Times states that a change in Premier League rules means clubs have to submit their 22-23 accounts by the end of December rather than the end of March as previously required. Any breaches of the league’s Profit & Sustainability rules will then be fast-track ..read more

It’s crystal clear that the Blues now have an enormously difficult task awaiting them
Home Advantage?
The expectation - going into Everton’s early evening clash with Manchester United on Sunday - was that a home crowd fired up by a sense of injustice, following an independent panel’s decision to penalise the club ten points for a breach of the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability regulations, would drive the team on against an opponent who, in recent games, had managed to ..read more
