Keeper of Conscience

In this episode I juxtapose the properties of darkness and light to describe the most primitive element of mankind's nature - hate! We will never accomplish greatness as a people until we truly love one another, and relegate hate and prejudice to the ash heap of history. Love and belief in our common humanity is what we must strive for - we must use our words, and actions, to pull mankind up the ladder of progress, until we can get a glimpse of what lies over our collective mountaintop.  Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think and DM me on Instagram or leave a review. https://www.insta ..read more

In this episode I discuss my inspiration for writing the poem SOAR, which is a reference to the ongoing fight to eradicate modern slavery. Hopefully this poem serves as a reminder that "man is born free and everywhere he is in chains (Jean Jacques Rousseau). This is the introductory episode where I discuss the brief conversation I held with an elderly Syrian female at a refugee camp in Mafraq. I talk about how our conversation moved me to the extent that I felt compelled to seek change through the power of written and spoken word.
