UNITY IN CHRIST – SHARING GOD’S WORD

I allowed myself to be silenced. I was sidelined in sharing the word of “Unity In Christ” through my blog. A few months ago, right after the presidential election here in the USA, I wrote an article about God’s Will, and received a great deal of criticism from many of my Christian friends. Most of the harsh words were aimed at the belief that the now current administration was not appointed by God. With the critics telling me how wrong I was, I allowed myself to be silenced. I was sidelined in sharing the word of “Unity In Christ” through my blog. Through prayer and thinking over the last ..read more

UNITY IN CHRIST: GOD’S WILL

The Will of God is always going to be, and we as Christians must believe this or we are doubting the validity of the Bible. We hear it often, “God is still on the throne”, and while many repeat the phrase, in times of strife or in challenging times, many seem to forget. The Will of God is always going to be, and we as Christians must believe this or we are doubting the validity of the Bible. (Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12) I touched on this in a ..read more

UNITY IN CHRIST: END TIMES

Why are we so obsessed with knowing when Christ will return? OK, you are probably thinking that I am another individual who has written another piece on predicting or interpreting End Time events, however this is far from being that. I decided to write this piece just to look at some of the obsession we have trying to predict the Second Coming of Christ or Biblical End Times. Are we really supposed to know? Why are we so obsessed with knowing when Christ will return? (“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”  &nb ..read more

UNITY IN CHRIST: ROLE MODELS

Role Models One of the hardest things about spreading anything Biblical, is that so many of us live totally opposite of what the Bible teaches, or what we portray in church.   There is so much focus nowadays on many things that seem to distract from the fact that being Christian should be synonymous to Living Christlike. Which church you attend, what is the size of the congregation, what type of service or services do you have, what type of music is played, are there a lot of programs, and so on, seem to be more important than to actually have any lifestyle resembling that of Jesus ..read more

UNITY IN CHRIST: TRUTH

Seems to me, more and more each day I find my Christian friends posting lie after lie on Social Media. Seems to me, more and more each day I find my Christian friends posting lie after lie on Social Media. Things like this will mainly happen because they fail to check if a post is true before re-posting or sharing, or they just do not care because they like what it says. As we draw closer to another major election I feel as though we have lost all sense of Unity and have given into telling as many falsehoods as possible determined to destroy the opposing side. Somewhere along the way we de ..read more

UNITY IN CHRIST: ROOT OF THE PROBLEM

What is the real Problem? Dealing with the problems we have today seems to be overwhelming in a lot of ways, especially with a growing number of cities dealing with rioting, looting and death. These problems will not go away by themselves and fighting violence with violence will only make things worse. Our focus truly needs to be on the ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. As we continue to look at the after-affect, nothing is getting solved. This seems to have been the problem for such a long time, we cannot take the blinders off to see that we are blind to the cause, only dealing with the consequences ..read more

UNITY IN CHRIST: ARE WE CONTENT?

The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one  John 17:22 As we go throughout our daily Christian lives, every now and then should we not ask ourselves, am I content? There are many of us who never really ask that question because it does not occur to us that we may just be going through the motions. When I say motions, I am referring to the way we have certain rituals that we tend to follow every day, week, month and year. Going to church on Sunday, saying the same prayer before dinner, celebrating each holiday in the same fashion, jus ..read more

Dealing With Dark Days During these pandemic days, many of us have dealt with, or we are still dealing with opportunities for change in our lives. These changes may be the result of several factors being totally out of our control. The most important problem we tend to be dealing with, is how we handle these changes, or how we view them. Do we view the changes we have experienced or continue to experience as being positive or negative? As Christians, we would hope to put our trust in Jesus, and realize that whatever happens in this world, our faith should not be moved, God is ALWAYS in control ..read more

Tradition-Habit (Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Psalm 150:1) Traditions in our churches, some useful maybe some not so useful, but they will always be with us. Habits like having to sit in the same place, or on the same pew every week, and all of the other times we might attend. Believing there is only one way to pray and that hymns are the only songs acceptable in services are also some of the traditions we get used to, and just will never let go. Let us not forget, which is the correct Bible to read from? Not saying that any of this is right ..read more

Unity In Christ: Humility

Humility! The act of being humble seems to have taken a back seat these days in sharing our message of Christianity. I know there are many who will say, we must boldly go forth and preach God’s word, yes, this is true. My thoughts are, can’t we preach God’s word boldly, and still have a humble heart, bold, but humble? (All of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. 1 Peter 3:8) We ARE being bold just by sharing what God has laid on our hearts, that IS boldly sharing God’s word. It takes that measure of boldness just to speak out and say, I’d like ..read more
