Hi all, Just to let you know that my EUTR1A application has been refused, reason is “they are not convinced that this is a durable relationship.” Application date:04/08/2023 Refusal letter:16/04/2024 I live together with my girlfriend since 2 years and provided rent, utility bills, pics etc. and they are still not convinced, this application took us 8.5 months and got refused. I have two questions, 1- How long it takes EU4 review application? 2- During EU4 application do they provide a visa stamp? My visa has been expired and they mentioned in letter that if I don’t apply to EU4 in 15 d ..read more

I am so sorry that your application was rejected. same happened to me last week. exactly same reason. I dont think I can provide any more evidence so on EU4 as angel suggested I am saying they failed to consider documents provided with few new documents. I would say talk to a solicitor. General UK Immigration forum • Re: 10 year Parent Leave - Dependent Child Costs

Since Child 2 is born in the UK, they don't need ILR. If you renew their dependent visa in June 2024, they can stay on that visa till end of 2025/beginning of 2026, when at least one parent is likely to get ILR. The child can then apply directly to register as a British citizen, without having ILR. Thank you, are you suggesting he can continue as PBS dependent on his dad's visa? His father has SW till 2026, Can I add him as a dependent on my visa application instead, believe costs are similar? On Child 1 - I can add as my dependent too, when I read Appendix FM, it states the child who has sp ..read more

Also, My wife is director of company which she setup for property management business which is registered on companies house and she is sole director (apart from her regulars full time employment). We jointly own a property in Spain and we had to go there to find a suitable partner company who can manage our property on Airbnb. During the trip between 02-Dec-23 and 13-Jan-24 (41 days absence ) we found a company in Spain who can manage our property and we signed a contract with them. Can this absence be treated as business absence, so that it can be disregarded from personal absence allowa ..read more

I think you forget that the you have to have legal residency to apply for ILR. You are not here with legal residency! You have to supply your passport - if you supply your ZAF passport then it is obvious you don’t have EU citizenship… If you supply any German passport- then you have supplied a false document. Regardless right now you are in the UK illegally so no matter what the ILR guidance states you are being dishonest as you have not declared you loss of citizenship. Given the long, tortuous and frustrating process to obtain Irish citizenship, I can see the initial attraction of going for a UK passport given that it seems to take just a matter of months. I will try to wait it out in my case, for the moment, since it seems to me at the end of the day that Irish citizenship conveys exactly the same rights as a UK one, re living and working in either country, BUT has the added advantage of being an EU passport, with all the benefits that comes from that, re travelling, living, working, etc, in Europe. The Irish passport is more powerful now than the British ..read more

Hello Everyone, Does anyone know if it’s possible to apply for OCI for all family members at once? We are receiving our renunciation certificates today and are curious about this possibility. There may be some shared documents, such as marriage certificate and proof of address. If anyone has experience with group applications, please share your insights. Thanks in advance.
