What has Star Wars taught you?

Hello, I only really watched the first saga so Episod IV, V and VI a long time ago and some lines stick in my mind to this day like the famous: Quote: “No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.” and Quote: “Will he finish what he begins?” Star Wars was conceived as an “initiation quest”. So I suppose I am not the only one who has been taught one thing or two about life in general ..read more

He's back in the news. As it's been known he's had some struggles in the years since TPM. https://www.cbr.com/phantom-menace-j...urn-star-wars/ If he does return, it probably won't be as Anakin since Hayden pretty much has a monopoly on the older version-light side, maskless Vader and force ghost. And he's obviously too old for a teen Anakin in the mostly untold in-between TPM and AOTC era, unless they want to deep fake a bit. Although Anakin had no father and of course the line is kind of broken apart from Rey taking it at the end of ROS, what about going through Shmi's line, perhaps to ..read more

The return of Jar-Jar?

Seems to be Mo-cap for a video game. But just as likely to be his Jedi character probably, or something new (The Eclipse game?) https://www.eurogamer.net/jar-jar-bi...tivision-tease It's worth noting Disney hasn't really done much with Jar-Jar; even Greg Pak's TPM reference heavy Vader book hasn't bothered to feature him. He's absent from most of the Rise of the Empire and OT era stuff, nor any sequel stuff, but shows up in one of the Aftermath books (Set about a year after Endor) as having been re-exiled and a street performer, and that's it. Maybe his story isn't over yet ..read more

Alternate Binary sunset/Luke's theme

Kind of interesting here. Not only does it change the tone a bit of SW's most famous scene, but it kind of has an alternate theme for Luke to a degree as well, whereas pretty much in the film's Luke's theme is pretty much synonymous with the main theme but there are traces of it in there (Such as when the escape pod reaches Tatooine's surface). You see this in some of his other films, In Last Crusade he had a theme written for Henry Jones Sr but it's barely used in the actual film (With the motorcycle chase music mostly being used instead) and Qui-Gon's theme music in TPM is also barely used ..read more

50th anniversary film or show?

It's still three years away but I'm kind of curious if there will be kind of celebration film/show. A re-release of a NEW HOPE in theaters is probably likely, especially given the 40th ROTJ release last year and the upcoming TPM 25th this year. The Rey film is supposed to start production in April for a likely 2025 Christmas release so that won't be it, unless it leads to further sequels. Mandalorian movie is headed for a 2026 release. That kind of leaves the Filoni Thrawn movie and Dawn of the Jedi, although I'm kind of curious if some of the plot points from that will be in the Mandalori ..read more

The Phantom Menace to get 25th anniversary rerelease this May

Along the same lines as last years Return of the Jedi limited re-release. https://www.starwars.com/news/the-ph...th-anniversary A while back, The film did get a 2012 re-released in 3D with the 2011 blu-ray cut of the film with the CG Yoda. Kind of wonder if it kind of being mostly ignored was one of the factors to Lucas deciding to retire and allow the series to continue under Disney. (Lucas's original plans were to gradually release all six films in 3D. The 3D versions did kind of find a second life-at least the prequel versions were shown at conventions, and the remaster of the OT done fo ..read more

Coming February 21st... And that last bit...to paraphrase Captain Kirk: "Aren't you dead"? Then again her people are known to reanimate the dead.... 2024 seems like it be light on SW TV stuff as Andor won't be out until 2025, ditto with the next movie (Which might be the Rey thing or the Mandalorian film depending on certain things?) and Skeleton Crew and Acolyte seem to be heading for a Fall/Winter release although I'm not sure. So this is pretty much welcome ..read more

Star Wars: Mandalorian and Grogu-The Movie announced

https://www.starwars.com/news/the-mandalorian-and-grogu Unclear whether this is meant to be the same project as the "wrap up the Disney+ storylines" movie mentioned, which I thought was going to be Filoni directing, but if it is, guess they decided to go with a more experienced movie director (Filoni's sole other movie directing credit is the Clone Wars pilot film ..read more
