I recently purchased some Beast Wars transmetals but have been reading online that the Chrome paint comes off after a while. Is there anything I can use to help protect the chrome paint layer? So I'm possibly going to be receiving a small bundle of G1 figures in the coming days, including a Smokescreen with the infamous broken roof. From what I was told, the roof and each of the panels that would go on the legs broke off, with one of the panels being missing entirely. I'm going to get the bundle for sure anyway, since the value is too good to pass up. But I was wondering if it was worth it to find some replacement parts and try to fix this guy up.
