In October, we experienced a sold out Boots, Bulls and Barrels performance. With the help of our enthusiastic volunteers and dedicated sponsors, our organization was able to create a dirt-pounding event. And, this event was extra special as we got to announce that our Quadrille team was invited to participate in the 2024 Rose Parade presented by Honda in Pasadena, California.

The Quadrille Team is one of 18 equestrian groups to ride, and they are one of the furthest equestrian teams to travel to Pasadena to participate in the Rose Parade, since 1890.

The Silver Spurs Riding Club and our events thrive because of our dedicated volunteers who don’t see the organization as a job but as a labor of love. A barrel racer competed in the Silver Spurs Rodeo on June 3 and 4 in Kissimmee, FL.
Steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing and more dirt-pounding action took place June 3 & 4 at the 149th Silver Spurs Rodeo in Kissimmee. Cowboys, cowgirls and fans were excited to be back in the arena, out of the sun and kick off summer with a rodeo. The Silver Spurs Riding Club has hosted one of Osceola County’s longest-standing traditions in the community: The Silver Spurs Rodeo, which just had its 149th edition on June 3 and 4. The Special Olympics USA event is being hosted in Orlando this year and the Special Olympics USA Equestrian Team will be able to use the Silver Spurs Arena at no cost thanks to the Silver Spurs Riding Club for the first-ever Equestrian Competition event.
The event starts June 8 and goes through June 10 from 8 am to 4 pm each day. The Special Olympic Equestrian Events are free and open to the public.

Summer rodeos hosted by the Silver Spurs Riding Club have a long-standing tradition of honoring Osceola County Veterans. In 1944, when the Silver Spurs Riding Club hosted its first event near Neptune Road and Kings Highway in Kissimmee, admission to get in was the purchase of a war bond to support the war efforts. Today, we honor our heroes during our opening ceremony of the June rodeo and offer free admission to active and retired service members.
