Hello, can someone help me with how AAT have managed to get to their answer of £7.80 please. I've copied the exact mock exam question below: Blenble Electronic Ltd manufactures a variety of electrical components. The following information is available about the cost of product A28: Units Total Cost (£) 1,200 24,860 1,400 26,420 (b) (i) Calculate the variable cost per unit of product A28 Answer : £7.80 My thoughts were to calculate variable cost per unit it would be total cost / units so: 24,860 / 1,200 But that doesn't come to £7.80... The second question after that is: b (ii) Calculate the to ..read more

Hello everyone, I'm a little bit bold to say this. I'm skipping AAT level 3 and go straight to level 4, now I'm wondering how much overlapped between L4 AMAC and L3 MATS? For example, if I don't study the basics of MATS, can I still do AMAC? Does AMAC rely intensively on the basics of MATS? I'm asking this so that I may consider to self-study MATS before studying AMC. I'm aware that AAT is more about the process rather than the result and I'm also aware that MATS is an interesting unit to know/study. But I'm really in need of an accounting qualification to increase my employability. I can alwa ..read more

Can anyone help with the following question and answer please as I don't understand where AAT's answer of £14 is coming from in the Mock 2 practice? Jars retail for £20 each and cost £10 each. Three are damaged and will cost £40 to repair. They will then be offered for sale at a 10% discount. What is the total inventory value for these three jars? Is it not £18, I.e. 3 x £20 - £40 x 90 ..read more
