As a writer, I feel excited when I read reviews from people who have read my book. I love getting reader feedback on my stories; even if they are not great reviews, there is always something I can learn from reviews of my books. What do you think? I think being open to reader feedback is suitable for any writer as there are many things you can learn from reviews; I know a lot from reviews. I've got a couple of good reviews of my book, "When Love Last", and I am delighted to share them here. "Another enjoyable read by OL Obonna. I love how her characters are never perfect but clearly flawed, wh ..read more

What is the hardest thing about being a writer?

Writer's block, you can't decide on an idea even though you have many ideas. Some days household chores overwhelm you, and you want to pack everything up and curl up in a corner, close your eyes and sleep. I've been there and still struggle with putting down words or meeting targets. What is the hardest part of being a writer? Is it when you conceive an idea and are so excited that you jump up, get a pen and start putting down your thoughts for your new story before they elude you? Or is it when you get confused about the format or the font you must use? A lot of things bother us as writers. I ..read more

Buying gifts for kids are much harder than you think, definitely one of the hardest things to do as kids tend to have different ideas of what they want as gifts. As a Mum with three kids who have very different personalities, I can definitely relate! Wouldn't it be easy to just walk into a shop and pick up a box of chocolates or a sachet of Jolly Ranchers candy and just wrap it up for your kids this Christmas? That would definitely save you a lot of money too :) As we enter into the months of gift-giving, most of us are already thinking of what to get our kids, nieces, nephews, cousins and fr ..read more

I have always thought that a coffee table is the focal point of your living room and it can be, with the right decor. Whether you're looking for something rustic, contemporary functional or flashy, decorating your coffee table, will take your living room to the next level. Half- Term is over! That was a much needed break. Whew! And it certainly has been eventful with schools adopting remote learning. How has it been for parents? It definitely hasn't been easy and I can say that again and again! With 3 kids ages, 9, 6 and 5, I am literally pulling out my hair. At the end of each day, I am drained, wow! But its definitely the new normal. The Half-Term was definitely a much needed break and now its back to remote learning/ home learning. How to cope with the stress of home learning, if you are new to it like I am; Create a homeschooling schedule: I would recommend ..read more
