These gluten-free banana oatmeal muffins use a mix of almond flour and oatmeal for the most moist and delicious healthy banana muffins ever.
I’ve made a lot of banana muffins and breads in my life. Like a lot (they are linked at the end of this post.) And I’m not exaggerating when I say this is by far my favorite I’ve ever made. While I love my go-to banana oatmeal muffin recipe that uses whole wheat flour and oatmeal, these are way more filling. By using almond flour instead of a gluten-free all-purpose substitute, you bump up the protein, healthy fat, and fiber in this rec ..read more

We’ve officially entered the all pictures are blurry phase because I never stop moving phase. This year is flying by, and now we only have one more month until baby girl turns a year old! I just realized your sign says May 7th, but the photos were actually taken on April 7th. Oh, man, if that isn’t your sign that you’re the third baby, I don’t know what it is. Mama is #sleepdeprived. Maybe we should retake those pictures haha Your life is just so different than your brother was. We’re always out and about and when we are home, there are five times as many to ..read more

Happy Friday, I forgot my kids lunch and ended up giving him 3 different kinds of bars and two fruit leathers for lunch today. At least I had the snack bag with me. So this Friday is feeling a bit like a Monday over here. This weekend we’ve got a friend visiting from out of town, baseball practice, a birthday party (my go-to birthday gift for preschoolers) and more. It’s going to fly by, meaning Costco is on the agenda for tonight. Parenting little kids man, it just never stops. I’m going to pretend like it gets easier as they get older, if it doesn’t ..read more

This slow-cooker chicken shawarma is tender, juicy, and crispy (after being broiled for a few minutes), for an easy no-fuss dinner!
This year, I’ve really been relying on the slow cooker at least once a week. My goal was to build up my slow cooker go-to recipes from three recipes to at least twenty. What sparked this change, you ask? Youth. Sports. My oldest is five now, and we are venturing into the land of youth sports during the week. Our kids go to bed pretty early, so there isn’t a lot of time between the end of the sport and bedtime. Also, his s ..read more

Happy Friday, Friends!
It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve been able to check in for a Friday Favorites to share a little bit of life lately. March seemed to fly by. We didn’t do anything for spring break (well, the kids and I didn’t; Mr. Hungry went to Vegas for March Madness), but the month seemed to fly by. Each week, faster than the next. I don’t know where the time goes. We’ve been spending a lot of time outside while we can. The weather is beautiful most days right now. I’ve been on this routine where I walk and do hormone training in the morning fo ..read more

This gluten-free almond flour carrot cake is moist and delicious in every single bite, you may like it better than traditional carrot cake!
Oh man, this almond flour carrot cake has been on my list for so long now.
I’ve had a lot of fun developing gluten-free carrot cake recipes over the years, including carrot cake baked oatmeal, carrot cake quinoa muffins with frosting, carrot cake smoothie bowl, carrot cake Greek Yogurt pancakes, and oat flour carrot cake. And some with whole wheat flour like my healthy carrot cake muffins, and healthy carrot cake.
But I’ve al ..read more

Air Fryer Asparagus cooks quickly and has a perfectly tender inside, slightly crispy outside, and delicious seasonings for flavor in every bite!
You guys, I made asparagus in the air fryer, and I was BLOWN AWAY by how easy and fast it was! It’s funny, I would have never expected my go-to cooking method for asparagus to end up being the air fryer, but it is now! Asparagus is in season in the spring, which means you can get a great deal on it when it’s freshest. I love roasted asparagus, but even the thin ones seem to dry out and take forever. I like steamed asparagus, b ..read more

Slow cooker corned beef and cabbage is the best way to make your corned beef for tender, delicious results every single time.
Last year, I did a 23 and me test only to find out what I already suspected after producing a fair-skinned, strawberry blonde, and blue-eyed child. My gene pool is over 90% Irish. My Aunt had always impressed on me our strong Irish heritage via genealogy, but for some reason, I didn’t own it until I produced a child that fit the bill (despite my husband’s Middle Eastern heritage, I thought would dominate the gene pool) and saw the heritage results from the ..read more

Guess who is double digits!?!?
Brother 1 at 10 monthsBrother 2 at 10 months
The bigger the bow, the better, I always say!
We finally got you in for your nine-month well check, which mostly consisted of your doctor treating an ear infection #thirdchildlife. But, we got some measurements on you, and just like your brothers, you are taller than average, in the 80th percentile for height, about 28.5 inches. Around the 30th percentile for weight (at about 18 lbs.) Like your brothers, you didn’t even get close to doubling your weight by six months, and you likely won’t triple you ..read more
