With She-Hulk complete and Werewolf by Night’s appeal diminishing after Halloween, we’ve entered a rare gap in the MCU schedule. Yes, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is right around the corner, and the recent trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania reminds us that it’s nearly here as well. Source: Marvel Studios However, we don’t have any multi-episode MCU series remaining on Disney+ in 2022. So, let’s take this opportunity to evaluate what’s coming next. Here are the next two years of MCU releases on Disney+. What If…? Season Two – Early 2023 Infinity Ultron. Photo: Marvel Studios I ..read more

This week: we’ve got a seismic shift behind the scenes at Marvel. How much will it impact the MCU? Plus, we’ve got a glowing box office update in the latest MarvelBlog News! Everything Old Is New Again Photo: Getty Images On August 31st, 2009, The Walt Disney Company permanently placed its stamp on the comic book industry. On that date, Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment Inc. for $4 billion. And as I’ve said often since then, on that date, you couldn’t find anyone on Wall Street who liked the deal for Disney. At the time, The Dark Knight had dwarfed the box office of the still-successful I ..read more

I suspect that if we asked any group of (sane) people to name the best Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) villains to date, everyone would pick the same two. Thanos and Loki’s lingering impact on the film industry is something we’re only starting to appreciate several years after the fact. Source: Marvel Studios Even now, all MCU successors draw criticism because their villains draw (arguably unfair) comparisons to Thanos and Loki. This thought process caused me to wonder. If we take those two black hats off the board, who are the best MCU movie villains to date? Brock Rumlow Photo: Marvel Stu ..read more

Marvel Studios cordially invites you to a funeral. You should understand in advance that this is the story of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. For this reason, the Black Panther sequel proves remarkably somber. Members of my audience did cry, sometimes at unexpected moments. Source: Marvel Studios Personally, I haven’t decided how I feel about the film. In some ways, I adored it. In others, it broke my heart. I’ll talk ..read more

Much to my chagrin, Tatiana Maslany has revealed isnt is so sure about Jennifer Walters and Matt Murdock. They are absolutely in the running for my favorite new Marvel couple.
