Easy Glass Jar Noodles is your answer to teens and husbands who are constantly hungry, especially now when the cold, rainy days are here.
Easy Glass Jar Noodles are also known as Mason Jar Noodles or Mason Jar Ramen. The internet is flooded with recipes, but the good part here, is that there are no recipes. It is a basic idea, that is brilliant by the way, that you can make your own. We love it. At my first encounter with a clear broth was at a Thai cooking class where made Tom Yum Goong. I was hooked. Tom Yum Goong is slightly different as it is not made with noodles.

This Pork Fillet with White Pepper Sauce is one of those 20 minute meals that makes week-dinner-stress something of the past.
Serve the Pork Fillet with White Pepper Sauce on a bed of steamed white rice, mash or couscous. Pork Fillets are so versatile and compared to beef fillet, it is very affordable. You can be very adventurous and make these stuffed rolls with cherries, or keep it flavorful with this mushroom and sweet wine sauce.
So, let’s talk about the sauce. A cream sauce, is a cream sauce right? Well, yes and no. I think we always opt for black pepper or green pepper in our cream ..read more

Meatless Monday: it’s one of my favourite days, and some of my favourite recipes of Nina’s are in fact, meatless. But, before we get into the swing of things, I think I should open with a disclaimer and introduce myself. Hi to all of Nina’s regular readers, my name is ‘Q the Intern’ and I will be helping out during Nina’s time away. Not to worry though – I’ve learned from the best, and I promise the short transition will be as full of life and flavour as Nina and her decadent delights.
Now, onto the main story: Meatless Monday. If you’ve never come across the term, or don’t know much about it ..read more

Choosing knives for your kitchen can be quite a daunting and expensive exercise.
Choosing knives for your kitchen should begin by learning a few important things about knives. Knowledge is power and if you know what to choose, life in this department seems simpler.
Questions about knives are most probabHere are my top tips when using or choosing knives:
Sharpness
A poor quality knife that is sharp, is still better than a good qualify knife that is blunt. Cutting, slicing, chopping and carving is a pain if your knives are blunt. Take the time and sharpen your knives or ask a qualified person to ..read more

I love making risotto, so it is not at all strange to find numerous recipes for risotto on this blog. You will find Spring Risotto, Blue Cheese Risotto with Honey Comb, Red Wine Risotto with Shiitake Mushrooms and even an oven-baked risotto for those of you who still fear the unknown of making risotto from scratch. I read about this wheat risotto on Lifeisazoobiscuit some time back and because wheat is one of my favorite grains, I could not wait to try this recipe.
Luckily for me I got to try this risotto at a Food Jam a few weeks ago and like I expected, this recipe did not disappoint. May I ..read more
