A 2-0 win for Brentford over doomed Sheffield United was a game as much noted for the three points as the returns from injury of both Ethan Pinnock and Kevin Schade. Next up for the Bees, Saturday’s trip to another relegation threatened side in Luton Town. Come for the win. Stay for the much welcomed injury returns. As always, we use the time after a game to reflect on shone for Brentford. Who made the top five and was player of the match? Did anybody for Sheffield United do anything of note? Could some of those returning favourites start when we kick off at Luton? And as always, you can take ..read more

Brentford took a point following the the thrill-a-minute 3-3 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday. There’ll be plenty of optimism amongst the squad off the back of this one and, with the visit of Sheffield United next up, could the Bees return to winning ways after three games unbeaten? Ivan? What’s the final score? As ever at this point, we look back to who shone for Brentford? Who caused Villa headaches and will anybody be in line for the starting XI when Sheffield United come to town? Does anyone give a stuff what went down at full-time? And as ever, the post-match debrief and top five player ..read more

Hot off the heels of a midweek draw with Brighton (the post-match review and player ratings are here), Brentford face another tough test on Saturday. This time around, the trip to Aston Villa. If nothing else a game where there will be plenty of scores to settle following what happened late on at the Gtech in December. Martinez (and earlier, Ollie) a work of art. Neal – innocent…… As ever, in the build up, we have a match preview. This one has it all to play for with potential joy on the injury front, Aston Villa pushing for the Champions League and Brentford fans simply hoping that the wonder ..read more

A 0-0 between Brentford and Brighton saw another point on the board for a Bees’ team who spent this one very much on the backfoot but looking rock solid throughout. Next up, Saturday’s trip to an Aston Villa side who ended up on the wrong end of a 4-1 shoeing at Manchester City last night. Mark Flekken keen to get involved at both ends last night As ever at this point, we look back at the game just gone. Who was star player? Who made Brighton rock (and there are more sub-par dad jokes in the main article)? Could changes be made for the Aston Villa game? Who upset VAR man Michael Oliver….? You ..read more

Saturday night was all sorts of fun. Brentford running rings around Manchester United although still wondering how it ended in a draw rather than another famous win for Thomas Frank’s team (the post match debrief from that one is here). Now, we all go back to the Gtech on Wednesday evening with Brighton the visitors this time. The calm before the storm on Saturday As ever in the build up, we look to who might make the Brentford starting XI. Will there be changes? Was Thomas bluffing in his press conference? Will Brighton be knackered after Sunday’s trip to Liverpool? And as ever, we look to al ..read more

An action packed Saturday night at the GTech saw Brentford and Manchester United share the most one-sided of draws. The Bees out playing and outshooting their rivals by a country mile before that awful, then awesome, ending. Let’s hope the visit of Brighton on Wednesday is even half as exciting. As ever at this point, we look back at who shone for Brentford. Who made the top five? Will anyone be staking a claim for a starting berth against Brighton? Were Manchester United that bad or is it more a case of The Bees being that good? Will we see more of Saman against Brighton? And as ever, we look ..read more

Brentford welcome Manchester United to the Gtech tonight, looking less to the thing at Burnley two weeks ago and more the positive of Ivan Toney’s recent performance for England. Brentford ‘official’ capture the midweek moment on Twitter As ever at this point, we focus on the forthcoming fixture. Will his goal for England help propel Ivan to further heights? Who does Thomas pick? What about Manchester United, for whom Harry Maguire seems to be the latest casualty? Our take on all of it, and beyond, is nowlive in the big match preview article. Here’s to Saturday night under the lights. PREVIEW ..read more

Brentford went to Burnley on Saturday and got turned over 2-1. The game effectively over within the first 8 minutes after an early goal against and red card for Sergio Reguilon saw a potential banana skin turn into an upturned crate of Fyfees. Next up, the small matter of a visit from Manchester United. Back in the XI then back in the changing room after VIII As ever at this point we look to what happened in the game. Did anybody emerge with any credit for Brentford? Were Burnley just ‘that good’? Whose car keys will be pulled from the bowl to fill in at left back when Manchester United come t ..read more

Arsenal 2 Brentford 1. The Bees undone by the odd goal in three combined with the machinations of stinkin’ Kai Havertz. Add your own punchline ‘Same old Arsenal. Always cheating’, as the song goes. The refrain ringing around The Emirates as our hosts went top. Surely a temporary state of affairs ahead of Sunday afternoon’s title clash between Liverpool and Manchester City. As ever at this point we look back to the game just gone. Who was star player for Brentford? Who made the top five? Is anyone available for selection against Burnley on Saturday? And as ever, you can get out take in the post ..read more

A 2-2 draw played out between Brentford and Chelsea on Saturday one where the home fans may feel the win should have been ours. At the same time, a performance to take huge cheer from (certainly not booing…??) ahead of the trip to Arsenal on Saturday. Saturday afternoon saw Chelsea visit the Gtech As ever, we look back on the match . Who were the top five for Brentford? Who won star player award? Could anybody from the bench be in contention for a start in that arsenal game? And as ever, we look at all that in the post match debrief and player ratings article, which is live now . 2023-24 Bren ..read more
