Not many will have predicted Mikey Johnston to have the impact he’s having at West Brom when joining from Celtic on loan – and Carlton Palmer discusses how much a permanent move would cost.
Six-time Ireland star Johnston, 24, only managed 12 outings for Celtic during the first half of the season and that saw Brendan Rodgers sanction a loan exit in January – moving to play-off hopefuls West Brom.
The winger has been superb. While he has also been a player with plenty of promise and certainly gifted technically – his end product has come on this season. In nine games for West Brom, he’s scored s ..read more

In all the deadline day chaos it seems as if a player on the periphery of things at Aston Villa could now be joining West Bromwich Albion.
It seemed as if Unai Emery was keen to bring a couple faces to Villa Park in January, however significant moves haven’t come to fruition.
Departures were always considered to be on the cards, with perhaps Jhon Duran’s future being the most high-profile.
However, with Duran now set to stay amid his injury, that has curtailed any ripple effect.
All that being said, lack of progress elsewhere seemingly hasn’t deterred Villa from their plans to let Calum Chambe ..read more

Everton are reportedly keeping tabs on West Bromwich Albion winger Tom Fellows ahead of a potential summer move.
The 20-year-old winger has started to make a name for himself in the Baggies senior squad, with Fellows scoring his first goal for West Brom last weekend in the FA Cup against Aldershot Town.
Lauded by coach Darren Byfield as an ‘unbelievable’ talent, Fellows is slowly emerging as an exciting prospect in the English second-tier, and transfer interest is starting to appear.

Tony Pulis and Harry Maguire sounds like a bit of a match made in heaven doesn’t it?
One of the most no-nonsense managers of all-time paired with a defender who loves to get stuck in and head everything that comes his way. It just makes sense.
Unfortunately, Pulis and Maguire have never worked with one another during their careers, but, according to Pulis, there was the chance for these two to work together at West Brom.
Indeed, Pulis says he was told by the recruitment staff at Albion to sign Maguire, but the gaffer didn’t want him as he thought Jonny Evans was the better option at the time ..read more

Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale did something that West Brom fans will absolutely love in the second half of the Gunners’ 5-0 win over Wolves yesterday.
Mikel Arteta’s men ended the season in style. After a terrible run that saw them win just three of their previous nine games, they turned up for their fans on the final day of the season and battered Wolves.
Ramsdale didn’t have much to do in terms of shot-stopping yesterday, so he used his time to annoy the away fans instead, according to Football London.

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports claiming that West Brom want to take Dilan Markanday on loan in the January transfer window.
It would be little surprise to see Markanday on the move next month. He has little more to prove with the under-23s, it seems.

The 20-year-old has scored 11 goals in 12 appearances in Premier League 2. He was also rewarded for his fine form with a first-team debut during the latter stages of Nuno Espirito Santo’s tenure.
His form has certainly not gone unnoticed. The Daily Mirror (1/12; page ..read more

A number of West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to react to the stunning double save made by Tottenham Hotspur target Sam Johnstone in their goalless draw in the Championship on Tuesday night.
The Baggies could soon find themselves 10 points off the automatic-promotion spots after their winless run extended to three games this week.
