I hope we can organize some opposition to this style of “beekeeping.” Quality care is compromised in such mass “for profit” situations, whether it is senior’s homes, children’s daycares or beekeeping. The risks of spreading disease to native bees is now a real concern and reflects badly on urban beekeeping in general ..read more

Discussion Regarding Foodshare’s Stage 3 Covid-19 Policy We are now allowed up to 10 people in and around the bee yard. Only one experienced beekeeper, one member and one backup member can be inside the yard. There are now two observer spots allowed for newbees outside the yard.
