Things aren’t looking good for League One side, Reading, both on and off the pitch.
At present, the Royals find themselves 22nd out of 24 teams in the division, with just three wins from eight games and only five points to their name thanks to a points deduction for earlier EFL breaches, per The Telegraph.
A separate report in The Telegraph also outlines how the club could be subject to their fourth winding-up order after owner, Dai Yongge, missed the deadline for another payment due to the HMRC.
It’s a far cry from when John Madejski owned the club and the stadium named after him was full to ..read more

League One outfit Reading have been docked three points after their owner failed to deposit enough money into an account for the club’s monthly wage bill.
That is according to the BBC, who report that the Royals owner Dai Yongge was told by the EFL in August to put 125% of the wage bill into a designated account by Tuesday. That failed to happen and it has triggered a suspended points deduction with immediate effect.
This is not the first time Reading have been docked points this year as they have lost a total of four points from their current campaign. Back in August, the ..read more

Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei is edging closer to joining Championship side Reading on loan for the rest of the season.
Casadei signed for Chelsea at the start of the season from Inter Milan but has struggled to establish himself as a first-team player as of yet. It’s no shame at the age of 20, but Casadei will need to play regular senior football in order to develop as a player.
Casadei is yet to appear for Chelsea’s senior squad and it was a similar story at Inter Milan, but he’s now close to joining a new club on loan to gain some valuable experience.

With the UK government expected to introduce the so-called ‘Plan B’ for Covid-19 restrictions, it could mean football fans are required to show proof of vaccination at games this weekend.
It is not yet clear what new measures might be brought in, but leaked reports have suggested vaccine passports could be something implemented in an attempt to slow the spread of coronavirus over the rest of the winter.
This would mean certification is needed for some big events, and it seems likely that attending crowded venues like football stadiums would fit into that category.
