Its been a long time since I did a TR report but I thought i'd do one as work is tedious at the moment and I can still type away with my colleagues none the wiser of my buggering around Not much to report really but after weeks and weeks of really terrible Auckland based fishing I coudn't take it any longer and decided to shoot up to the far north (Whatuwhiwhi) for the weekend in the hope of getting some 'satisfaction'. Nor have I been on the kayak much this year, but managed a couple of nights camping/kayak fishing end of last week with one of my boys. We had planned to stay at Fantail Bay but DOC has closed the northern Coromandel campgrounds for the foreseeable future.
