Phil Hay has told his Athletic podcast that Leeds could strike a deal to sign Reading midfielder John Swift in January, stating that the soon-to-be free agent is a player Marcelo Bielsa likes. Swift, 26, is out of contract at the end of the season. It means that interested parties could sign the ex-Chelsea man for a cut-price fee in January, or for nothing when his contract expires in June 2022.
