Millwall bounced back from Saturday’s defeat at Huddersfield Town with a convincing 1-0 victory against Reading at The Den. Millwall made it back-to-back Championship wins for the first time since October as two second-half goals saw them come from behind to beat Reading 2-1 at the Madejski Stadium. Brentford came from behind to grab a 3-1 win with two late goals against Reading to send them top of the Championship and extend their unbeaten run to 21 league matches. The Lions dominated possession in the opening period but only had Jed Wallace’s brilliant free-kick on the stroke of half-time to show for their endeavours. Charlton Athletic failed to ease their Championship relegation fears with a 1-0 defeat to Reading courtesy of George Puscas’ third minute penalty. Brentford recorded a fifth Championship win out of six with a narrow 1-0 victory over Reading at Griffin Park. After a lacklustre opening period which saw a defensive lapse nearly gift the Bees an early lead, the game sparked into life in the second period.
