As CBS2’s Carolyn Gusoff reported, packed powder over ice still blankets roads in Suffolk County after a storm that dumped more than two feet of snow, the second highest daily snowfall on record. WEST ISLIP, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A woman died in a house fire on Long Island Friday, police said. It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the woman’s home on Udall Road in West Islip. According to police, firefighters found the body of Suzanne Minervini, 61, after they put out the fire. Crews from West Islip, Bay Shore, North Babylon and Deer Park responded to the fire. The Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was searching around Babylon Monday for the cream-colored dog named Bailey. The tape was taken on Monday night in West Islip. It shows a man in a dark-colored SUV dropping a trash bag into a dumpster at a gas station, CBS 2 reported.
