  The Twentynine Palms High Schools Crocheting for a Cause Club is back in full swing. The club currently has 114 members and has already exceeded their goal of crocheting 50 scarves, with a total of 70 scarves in total. Concerned neighbors post missing person flyers around Twentynine Palms. They’re asking for the public’s help in finding 20-year-old Joey Alvarez Espinosa. “The heat is just getting worse and if he’s out in the desert with no water or anything we need to get him home,” said Jami Mundy, a resident in Twentynine Palms. Joey’s family lives in San Diego. His grandmother dropped him off outside of Joshua Tree National Park on May 16th with no cell phone and limited water. An Orange County Judge has tentatively ordered a sexually violent predator to move to Twentynine Palms. “I was shocked, I can’t believe that they were willing to endanger all of the kids out here,” said Jami Mundi, a Twentynine Palms resident. Mundi is the mother of three young girls, and she says she’snow concerned about their safety. “His record shows that every time he’s been released he’s hurt a young girl. I don’t see any remorse.
