Member of Parliament for Reading East, Matt Rodda, has urged Reading owner Dai Yongge to 'get on with selling the club.' Reading legend Adam Le Fondre described the current off-field crisis at the club as a 'never-ending cycle.' Reading teenager Basil Tuma has been forced to wait for his international debut with Malta as their friendly with Turkmenistan was cancelled due to 'unforeseen circumstances.' Reading boss Ruben Selles has admitted that he 'does not know what the future is' amid rumours linking him to the vacant managerial role at Cardiff City. On this day last year, Reading roared into the EFL Trophy knockout stages with a 5-0 win over rivals Swindon Town, watched by one of the largest crowds in the competition. Tributes have poured in overnight after news broke of the sudden passing of former Sheffield United defender George Baldock aged just 31. The full-back played over 200 times for the Blades and won promotion to the Premier League twice, as well as taking in spells with the likes of Oxford United and Northampton Town.
