I'm not quite sure how to read this graph? What does TDH (Total Dynamic Head) mean? This is probably my main confusion point, not sure what TDH means? Does this chart tell me the Green Pump is the most powerful, and the orange pump the least powerful?
Here are their instructions: Multiple pumps may be used in your application. The dark blue curve on the graph below shows the Total Dynamic Head (TDH) for the application you specified. The point where the TDH curve and a pump curve...

Hi
i have question about this pipe layout. now looking at picture on web you can't connection drain pipe to vent stack using wye cause it can suck the water out of the p trap. so you add sanitary tee to sawyer drain.
so is there problem adding 90 elbow then 2 inch straight pipe down then hook up with wye tee to sewer pipe?
here a diagram of what I'm taking about ..read more

Hi all - looking for some guidance on what to do in my back to back shower remodel project. I redid plumbing to have side #1 traditional (hot left / cold right) and side #2 has the reverse (just copied what was existing). I will note that I could redo plumbing to make side #2 traditional but trying to explore other solutions before cutting out the relevant section to cross back over to traditional.
I am using delta multichoice valves on both side so flipping the cartridge 180 degrees is...

Hi Guys,
Building a fairly large 3 bed /2.5 bath with full kitchen and laundry guest house in back yard. Old house is in front yard, built in 1950. Guest House in backyard requires a sewer pump. Should sewer pump tie in with the old house? Or should it tie directly to city sewer and bypass old house? It is ~100 feet to main house which starts with PVC sewer line (due to an addition from 1990's). This PVC then connects to old cast iron plumbing via rubber hose. The cast iron completes...

The pipe that goes through the wall is corroded and I want to replace it with plastic. But I've never seen this chrome piece that stubs out from the wall. What is it? Is it just a chrome cover or is it part of the drain pipe. Anyone seen this before? And any idea how it comes off? Thanks ..read more

Hello,
I am making a 1 bedroom apartment in my basement and want to put in one of those small stacked washer/dryer combos so I'm trying to figure out how to drain the washer. In the small HVAC closet, there is a 2" drain in the floor that the A/C drip line drips into (I'll include a photo). I cut up the concrete and the existing drain has a p trap and I moved it over several feet and then am adding another p trap for the washer using all 2" pipe. So currently, the existing drain is...

Hey everyone,
I'm in the process of remodeling my kitchen and I'm facing a dilemma when it comes to choosing the right worktop material. There are so many options out there - granite, quartz, marble, wood, laminate, and more.
I'm leaning towards quartz for its durability and low maintenance, but I've heard mixed reviews about its heat resistance. On the other hand, marble looks stunning but requires high maintenance.
Wood seems warm and inviting, but I'm concerned about its...

I am looking at having an outdoor grease trap installed in a parking lot. The installation instructions specify a vent be installed at inlet and outlet, as well a recommend the vessel is vented. These vents would be 2".
This seems like a lot of vents since this will be installed with a manhole cover on top.
The parking lot is in front of the building. I've attached a photo of the area that we've excavated above the lateral where the interceptor would be installed.
My thought is to combine...

New construction, 3 years old. First leak happened 11 months ago in the kitchen. You can see in the photos that both sides of the elbow have a hairline break near the fitting. Second leak happened a few days ago very close to the first leak, but in a T.
Some plumbers who came to inspect the issue hypothesized that they were exposed to UV light. However, I recently came across the class action lawsuit against Uponor colored PEX pipes. Do these look like the typical Uponor PEX failures...
