Chalk up another for the Power of Posting.  I figured it out.  The solution I used is already posted on this forum, however, the file I needed to change is no longer found where it used to be, I just had to locate it and make the correct change.  Here is the skinny The file I needed to change was: /Users/user/Library/Application Support/org.inkscape.Inkscape/config/inkscape/extensions/axidraw_deps/plotink/ebb_serial.py Then I changed line 64 from:  if port.startswith("EiBotBoard"): To: if port.startswith("Arduino"):   Voila, it works. I just built my sphere-o-bot a couple of weeks ago and it took awhile to get it to work on Windows 10.  My final solution was to install the Arduino software on the Windows box to get the properly named device driver. However, I'd really rather use this on my MacBook Pro and so far that's not working.  I can talk to the Arduino Zero with Arduino software, the device shows up as: /dev/cu.usbmodem1412401 And I can see it with ioreg: ioreg -p IOUSB +-o Root <class IORegistryEntry, id 0x100000100, retain 15> +-o AppleUSBXHCI Root Hub Simulation@14000000 <class AppleUSBRootHubDev ..read more

However, I have gotten it working on my Windows 10 box.  I had to install the Arduino software to get the correct device driver.  Once I did that everything started working. Hi  Not yet. But we are working on it. Currently, the robot makes a "self" calibration at the beginning of the start process. It will move to the sides and lose steps so it "knows" where the arm is.
