Whether the season is able to resume or not, that kind of advantage should surely be enough to see Liverpool claim their firs ..read more

The chief executive of NHS Charities Together has welcomed Premier League players getting together to help the service cope with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and said: “This is what footballers have always been like.” Premier League players have received criticism since the pandemic took hold in the UK, with health secretary Matt Hancock saying last week they should “play their part” and take a pay cut to help as part of a national effort. Prior to Hancock’s comments, talks had been under way between top-flight players about how they could best contribute funds to the NHS, and on We ..read more

The Spaniard’s predecessor in the Emirates hotseat, Unai Emery, did his level best to bring Fraser to North London last year but had his advances spurned as the Cherries held out for a more lucrative offer than the £12m reportedly put forward. The Scotland international enjoyed a stellar campaign in 2018/19, netting seven times and laying on a further fourteen goals for his Bournemouth teammates, but has failed to match those figures this campaign – his eighth with the club – with only four assists and a solitary league goal to his name. But Arteta is understood to be keen on the 26-year-old ..read more

Kilgour has been handed a regular role in the Pirates’ starting XI this season, starting 33 of their 35 League One games. The Bath-born defender graduated from the club’s academy in 2016 but had to wait until 2019 until making his senior debut. He enjoyed spells on-loan with Mangotsfield United, Cirencester Town, Hungerford Town and Maidenhead United between 2016 and 2019 to gain first-team experience. The 33-year-old had a disastrous year last time out with his first knee injury coming back in April when he dislocated his patella in his left knee which brought a premature end to his season. He worked hard to get back to fitness and in the summer made his return to the Cherries first team in the clash against Aston Villa away in August but his return was not to last long. A week after his comeback in a game against Manchester City, he picked up the same injury this time to his right knee and he has not played since.
