The Baltimore Orioles scored in the first inning and scored in the last inning, they even scored a bit in between. Throughout nine innings the pitching was solid and in the end the Orioles defeated the Cincinnati Reds 11-1. Not only did the Birds sweep the Reds, they controlled them, outscoring them 16-2 and outhitting them 27-11. The key to the sweep was starting pitching. Baltimore starters allowed 6 hits over 19.1 scoreless innings combined.

John Means (1-0) made his 2024 debut on Saturday and orchestrated the Baltimore Orioles 2-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds. In his return from Tommy John surgery, Means threw 85 pitches, 58 for strikes over 7.0 scoreless innings and allowed 3 hits while striking out 8 Reds batters. He allowed two singles and a double nad set the side down in order four of the seven innings he pitched.

On a night when the Orioles AAA team, the Norfolk Tides threw the first combined no-hitter in team histoey and just the third nine inning no-hitter in their history, the Baltimore Orioles pitching corps combined to throw a two-hit, 3-0 shut out over the Cincinnati Reds.
The Orioles had to endure a 2 hour and 41 minute rain delay that included pre-game fireworks (the game was a scheduled fireworks night buy local ordinances do not allow fireworks after 11 pm) in order to get the win.

The Baltimore Orioles defeated the New York Yankees 7-2 on Thursday afternoon. Among the Orioles eight hits on the day were three homeruns, one, not surprisingly by Ryan Mountcastle (2 for 4, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI). The other two homeruns may have been head-scratchers to some, however.

Wednesday night’s game in Baltimore certainly was not an offensive barrage. The Bronx Bombers tallied 4 hits and the Baltimore Orioles tallied 3 in a 2-0 loss to the New York Yankees. The loss marked the first time that the Orioles have been shutout this season.
Wednesday’s starter Corbin Burnes (3-1) gave the O’s a quality start, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits with a walk ans 6 strikeouts. The runs came on an Oswaldo Cabrera two-run homerun in the fifth inning.
