On a 67 degree sunny day in Southern California, the Baltimore Orioles held on to beat the LA Angels 6-5 and go 4-2 on the road trip. It was certainly a case of “sun’s out, Gunnar’s out”. The Baltimore Orioles broke out to a 4-0 lead on Monday evening in Anaheim only to see the game evolve into a too close for comfort 4-2 win over the LA Angels. The game ended on a called strike three to Mike Trout with the bases loaded and two outs. Two pitches into Sunday’s game one had to wonder what kind of day it would be. Milwaukee’s William Contreras deposited a Corbin Burnes 95.9 mph cutter 420 ft. into centerfield for a homerun. The game became a bit if a back and forth affair and in the end the Baltimore Orioles prevailed over the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 6-4. With the win, Baltimore now has gone 96 series of 2+ games without being swept.
