GREENFIELD — A former resident of Greenfield has been found guilty of possessing child pornography. Brandon Conner Monterey County District Attorney Jeannine M. Pacioni announced Dec. 10 that a jury found Brandon Conner, 36, guilty of the crime during a retrial. GREENFIELD — A 22-year-old resident from Soledad has been arrested in connection with a 2018 shooting that killed a Greenfield man. On Feb. 20, 2018, 32-year-old Joseph Suniga was shot and killed while riding his bicycle in the 700 block of Apple Avenue in Greenfield. GREENFIELD — Members of the Greenfield Community Science Workshop helped deliver nearly 300 Pozole kits to Greenfield families on Nov. 24, ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Pozole is a traditional Mexican stew, and the kits were originally just for local senior residents before the City of Greenfield expanded the donations to everyone in the community. GREENFIELD — A Monterey County jury has found Carlos Hernandez, 32, of Greenfield guilty of one count of misdemeanor battery on his child’s parent and two counts of cruelty to a child. GREENFIELD — Greenfield High School celebrated the opening of its new two-story classroom building last week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Located at the front of the campus, the facility presents a new “front door” to the school, along with a new parking lot, pedestrian circulation pathways, entry plaza and secure campus perimeter.
