According to an article in The State newspaper Boeing is going to invest $1 Billion in its North Charleston plant.
https://www.thestate.com/news/business/ ... 06939.html
The article refers to upping production by ten per month, probably actually ten total per month. Adding 500 jobs.

I'm working on putting together a flight log and was hoping someone could help me find a website that allows you to lookup tail numbers of past flights. I know there used to be one a while ago, but I can't remember for the life of me.
Ex. I want to know what the tail number was of CO 1535 on June 30, 2011.
Thank you so much!!

The last of the UK Trafalgar Class submarines, HMS Triumph, has hoisted the decommissioning pennant, and arrived in Plymouth for the last time before decommissioning.

Commissioned in October 1991, she has served her nation magnificently for over 33 years, and is the last representative of arguably the greatest cold war SSN submarines ever created.
The T class in general hold a special place for me, but Triumph in particular played a defining part in my career, and I feel surpassingly privileged to have had a part in her creation.

so, I'm just curious - yes, English is the "language of aviation", and all that, but a good part of the worlds aviation customers speak languages where "OneWorld", "SkyTeam" and "Star Alliance" are unnatural or difficult to pronounce.
What are some of the words/phrases used in other languages (and how do they "translate") when referring to the names of these alliances?

American B777-300ER ✈ Premium Economy ✈ Flagship J ✈ Flagship F
Background: I've flown internationally on Delta and United, but never American. I thought it was about time to correct this, and the time was right this year, seeing as how I'm flying AA quite a lot in 2024. AA is also set to refurbish their B777-300ER fleet, removing Flagship First Class, replacing the current Flagship Business Class seats with new Flagship Business Suites, and even updating Premium Economy. I decided to schedule a few international flights on the AA B777-300ER to experience the current seats available before th ..read more

Avianca will soon be announcing a new destination in the Southeast. It is not clear where it might be, but my first guess is Atlanta as they mention in the article. This would bring more needed competition to South America, as fares from ATL tend to be much higher than fares from Florida. My second guess is TPA.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how our airline landscape is going to look in the next 10-20 years. Recently, we’ve been inundated with new and future “premium” offerings from the LCCs and ULCCs in efforts to chase higher yielding revenue.
With that being said: Will these premium push initiatives work? Unfortunately, I’m a bit skeptical. Smaller carriers (with the exception of AS) can’t compete for numerous reasons. The DOJ and DOT is no longer allowing consolidation (once again, with the exception of AS).
B6 - F9 - MX - NK - WN are all limping along with nothing major to offer as they don’t ..read more

The head of the US Federal Aviation Administration will step down next month. He's only been in office a little more then a year.
I imagine that whoever replaces him will be told by the Trump administration to loosen the production limits on Boeing and give them more flexibility to get their planes certified as quickly as possible.
