Two arrested and charged with capital murder in Grand Prairie shooting

On Monday, November 28th, at around 4:15 a.m., the Grand Prairie Police Department responded to a shooting in the 2000 block of Aggie Drive, where officers located a male with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Demarcus Harrell Jr, 17 years of age, was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital. Detectives determined the victim and the suspects, who knew one another, were engaged in possible high-risk activity when a disturbance between the three occurred. Arlington Police Investigate Homicide After Woman Found Deceased in Parking Lot

The Arlington Police Department is now investigating a suspicious death that occurred over the weekend as a homicide. On Sunday, October 30, 2022, at approximately 4:08 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of N. Cooper Street after a passerby reported seeing a woman lying unresponsive in a parking lot. First responders found the woman lying face down and bleeding from the head. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. The former office manager of a Grand Prairie technical services company, Protec Equipment Resources, was recently sentenced to 25 years in prison for theft. She used company credit cards to steal almost $700K. Shanna Catt, a 39-year-old woman from Mansfield, was sentenced last week in Fort Worth after being charged with money laundering, where she laundered more than $300,000 dollars. Catt, who will turn 40 on Monday, had earlier this year pleaded guilty to the charge. Texas Rattlers These 8 PBR teams went head to head in a Bull riding tournament over 3 days. Ft. Worth’s own Ariat Texas Rattlers hosted this event.
