I will ask my Dr his opinion, of course, but interested in the opinion of others with experience with these drugs. I am on meformin 2x/day 500MG each and 0.25 Ozempic once a week. I have dropped close to 30lbs in a month while maintaining a 500-700 calorie per day diet and 30 minutes of daily cardio (bike). I am 53. T2 for 20 odd years. Used to be on 20 to 23 units of bolus insulin & no basal per day & Metformin for the last 5+ years. On metformin & sulfonylureas before that for 10 years. I started at 1/4 then 1/2 and then 1 mg. I was on it for 4 months. Went from 232-192. Came home one night around 11:00 pm and fell in the parking lot. For the first time ever my legs weren't strong enough to lift myself back up. Long story short...I was in the hospital for 3 days. I had never heard of this until my friend told me about it being all over the national news a few days ago. I really couldn't understand what I was listening to in the news pieces.
