Bob Strothkamp Bob Strothkamp will lead the annual Manchester Homecoming parade as its Grand Marshal. Raised in the city of Manchester, Strothkamp and his brother, Harry, opened Strothkamp’s Paint Center in 1956.  Their first location was next door to the family home. Two historic homes in Manchester slated to be demolished

Social media outrage followed the news that two historically relevant homes in the city limits of Manchester are marked as condemned. The first home, located at 801 Second St., is known as the yellow house. It was moved from its original site just north of Manchester Road many years ago. Originally, the yellow house was built as a parsonage for the original Manchester United Methodist Church chapel at 126 Woods Mill Road. Manchester’s Flags of Valor display in Stoecker Park. On Wednesday, July 14, Manchester City Clerk Justin Klocke assumed the position of interim city administrator after being appointed by the city.  Klocke Former city administrator Larry Perney, who has served in the city administrator position since May 18, 2017, left the city on July 13 for a new position in the city of St. Charles.
