EASTLAKE, Ohio (WJW) – A local high school has helped make a mother’s dying wish come true. She got to see her daughter graduate before it was too late.  Cathy Bucy was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma on Dec. 1, 2023. According to her husband Doug Bucy, the cancer grew rapidly and doctors were not able to do any more for her. But, she still has things she wants to see before it’s too late. (WJW) – A new area code will be put in place in Northeast Ohio beginning on March 1.  The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio approved an area code overlay, or the addition of a new area code, on Dec. 14, 2022, in the 440 area code region.
