PORT CHESTER, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — Help finally arrived in Port Chester on Friday after CBS2’s story about businesses that were still without power three months after flooding from Ida. Crews from Con Edison were outside Telly’s Taverna restaurant working on temporary electricity. Businesses along North Main Street were caught in the red tape between Con Ed and the Department of Transportation over cutting up the street to make repairs. (CBSNewYork) — Police in Westchester County say they may have saved the life of a member of the famed Mara family — the owners of the New York Giants — last weekend when they arrested her for allegedly driving while intoxicated. WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) – The police chief of a Westchester County village has been arrested on charges he retaliated against his temporary replacement for cooperating with the FBI. Joseph Krzeminski of Port Chester was arrested by the FBI  on Monday and presented in federal court in White Plains. He was released on $100,000 bail. After Nelson had performed last Thursday at the Capitol Theater, at 149 Westchester Ave. in Port Chester, someone took the stuffed armadillo from the backstage sound desk, according to Nelson’s Facebook page. The toy armadillo belonged to Aaron Foye, Nelson’s motor engineer. PORT CHESTER, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A toddler was saved by a Good Samaritan on Tuesday morning, after she fell onto the Metro-North train tracks in Westchester County. GREENWICH, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) – Greenwich officials plan to spend $25,000 to check the residency of all the students enrolling in its elementary schools for the coming school year. The Board of Education approved a plan last week to hire temporary employees who will assist district officials in checking the residency of all 4,100 students enrolling in kindergarten through fifth grade, the Greenwich Time reported.
