Oliver Glasner has started to show the rest of the Premier League just what he’s able to do with his current crop of Crystal Palace players. The Austrian was something of an unknown quantity when he replaced Roy Hodgson at Selhurst Park, but he’s already coming into his own with a special brand of football being played by his side at present. Liverpool were beaten at Anfield whilst Man United, Newcastle United and West Ham United have all recently been taken care of at Selhurst Park. Palace could allow Marc Guehi to leave this summer If he’s backed in the transfer market this summer, there’s n ..read more

Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has provided some insight into how Crystal Palace did well to beat other clubs to the signing of talented young midfielder Adam Wharton back in January. The 20-year-old has proven a superb addition to the Palace squad since he joined from Blackburn Rovers in the middle of the season, and it seems other teams were also alert to his potential. However, speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside for his latest Daily Briefing column, Romano explained that Palace are very happy with their deal for Wharton, who caught the eye in the Championship and who is now also sh ..read more

It’s been quite the season for Eddie Howe and his Newcastle United side, and with just three games left of their 2023/24 Premier League season, the Magpies are doing their upmost to try and end the season on a high. Newcastle have lost just two of the last six – against table-toppers Arsenal and Crystal Palace – and are vying with the likes of Man United, who they play next, for a spot in next season’s Europa League. Were they to get back into European competition, that might just persuade Palace’s Michael Olise that they’re a club worth playing for. Newcastle want Michael Olise The Daily Mail ..read more

Crystal Palace stars Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise were on fire against Manchester United in a surprise 4-0 win at Selhurst Park last night, and it’s fair to say Arsenal journalist Charles Watts is a big fan. Speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside for his weekly column for the Daily Briefing, Watts explained that he views both Eze and Olise as perfect fits for Mikel Arteta’s side, even if he slightly questioned if the latter might be a bit too individualistic in his playing style. There’s certainly no doubting their talent, with Palace looking superb since Oliver Glasner took over as manager ..read more

Man United are being hammered at Selhurst Park by Crystal Palace as Michael Olise has just added a fourth for the Eagles following another Casemiro mistake.  The winger opened the scoring on the night after sitting Casemiro down and the game has come full circle. Goals from Mateta and Mitchell brought the score up to 3-0 and now Olise has netted the fourth with another sweet strike. It was another Casemiro error that led to the goal as Munoz stole the ball easily from the 32-year-old in the Palace half before picking put Olise centrally. “Bring him off” – Jamie Carragher has enough of “embarrassing” Man United star
CaughtOffside » Crystal Palace FC

Man United trailed Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park on Monday night and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher had enough of watching Casemiro after the first 45 minutes.  The Brazilian is having a terrible season at Old Trafford and was once again atrocious in the first half in South London on Monday night. The 32-year-old was sat down by Michael Olise for the Eagles’ opening goal of the game, an action Carragher labelled “embarrassing”. Casemiro was out of position for the match as he has been filling in at centre-back due to Man United’s injury crisis in that position. However, Carragher ..read more

Man United have found themselves 2-0 down at Selhurst Park as Jean-Philippe Mateta has doubled Crystal Palace’s advantage with a rocket of a strike.  The Eagles took the lead after 12 minutes when Michael Olise ran through the Man United defence with ease and the home side’s second was just as simple. Mateta was left one-on-one with Jonny Evans who lazily dangled a leg out to stop the striker. The Palace star skipped passed the defender with ease before blasting the ball passed Andre Onana in the United goal. Video: Michael Olise sits down Casemiro as Man United carved open

Crystal Palace have taken an early lead against Man United in their Premier League clash at Selhurst Park courtesy of a Michael Olise strike. The home side have been in great form of late and came into Monday night’s match as the favourites. Oliver Glasner’s men have been the better of the two teams in the early stages and made that count with a goal. Olise sat down Casemiro following a throw-in and had a free run at the United goal before scoring. It was far too easy for the winger to score and it once again highlights the weaknesses of this current Man United team. More Stories / Latest News ..read more
