Hi lookin to buy another zziplex but this time from uk hooks they have suggested that I use pac bay minima 4 guides are they any good for fishing with rather than field work as I have no experience of this type of guide. The rod I'm lookin to get is the m4 high flex or the gt the rod I use at mom is the primo match which I love, but I need some think with a little more backbone and these have been recommended to me as the next level up. Fishing mixed ground and a good tidal run. thanks in...

Well after a couple of months away from bait fishing, and thrashing the water to a foam lure fishing.
With only minimal success! (For me anyway) Nutsyfish has been slaying em.
I finally persuaded Nutsy that a trip to Frinton was worth a go.
Arrived at the bottom of the tide to a fresh and building south s/easterly wind.
One rod on squid/ bluey pulley dropper the other a two hook clip down with freshly dug lugworm.
Lots of good sized whiting to start off on the worm baits.
Then a 43cm ray...

going down next week for some fishing. I'm a beginner to sea fishing and have not caught yet. I was looking to do some spinning with 6 inch sidewinder sandeels for pollock and bass and also using a dexter wedge.
Any spots tips etc? I'm willing to fish bait if that's going to allow me a better chance to catch ..read more

Hi all
I’d been thinking about trying some salt water fly fishing this summer having never tried it before and after having some success with the golden greys on bait recently I thought I might try for one on a fly.
I was off work Thursday and it was a lovely day but my plan to go to gower went down the pan when I was reminded I needed to paint the shed!
I was short on time so instead I went down to the ogmore estuary to try for a thick lipped mullet which is a species I’ve never caught...
