Hello everyone, How many of you carry a rudimentary first aid kit when you go angling? It would be nice to hear about it, even if it consists of some band aids or aspirin tablets! I carry a reasonably comprehensive kit that fits into a flat mini tackle box(Plano type) which can easily slip into a fishing vest or mini backpack. This is reassuring when you are fishing in locations that are miles away from medical help or in a boat far out at sea. Hi Kingfish, I don't crimp my hooks, I see the advantages and the disadvantages but I still have to evolve. I have also seen my fair share of accidents with hooks, My brother impaled to a 4/0 hook in his thumb with a 42lb very lively barramundi at the other end that I had just caught. We had to do an immediate surgery on site.
